Dhami government signed MOU for electric rapid transit system, will get rid of the hassle of jam in the capital Dehradun, traffic pressure will be reduced

Dehradun: Due to increasing pressure of vehicles in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, controlling traffic is becoming a challenge for the administration. There is a situation of jam on the roads of Dehradun every day. Due to which people have to face a lot of problems. In such a situation, the state government is emphasizing on electric rapid transit system to give relief to the city dwellers from the situation of jam.

In this sequence, on Monday, M/s Hess Green Mobility gave information to CM Dhami about all the points based on Mass Rapid Transit System technology in Uttarakhand at the Secretariat. Also, in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, an MoU was signed between Uttarakhand Metro Rail Corporation and Hess Green Mobility, Carrosserie Hess AG and SSB Sauerwein and Schaeffer Bau AG to promote Mass Rapid Transit System Technology in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that efforts to implement this action plan will solve the growing traffic problems of Dehradun.

It was told in the meeting that Light Tram has been developed by M/s Hess AG, which is a high capacity mass transport solution using flash charging technology, which is being designed to meet the urban transport needs of Uttarakhand as an Electric Rapid Transit System (E-RT) on a fully elevated corridor. In the first phase, a total of 22.5 km will be built in 2 corridors of Dehradun city from ISBT to Gandhi Park and FRI to Raipur. In which 25 stations are proposed.
