Dhami government will amend the land law in accordance with public sentiments, appealed to the citizens to become aware and participate

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had clarified the government’s position regarding the land law. In which he also talked about taking action against people from outside the state for buying more than 250 square meters of land. Meanwhile, in Rishikesh, once again people made their intentions clear to the government regarding the land law and the Domicile 1950. The government has also become active on this matter and has talked about amending the land law in accordance with public sentiments.

Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal, while clarifying the situation regarding the land law, has said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is serious about the land law. Action will also be taken against those who have bought land and have not used it accordingly. Apart from this, on the purchase of more than 250 square meters of land in a family, the additional land will be vested in the government. He said that whatever amendments in the land law are necessary in the interest of the state, all of them will be amended.

The Forest Minister urged the people of the state to preserve their ancestral land and not sell it. The state government has made every possible effort to preserve the rights of the people of the state. He said that earlier the Chief Minister has talked about taking a decision in the next budget session to implement the land law in accordance with the public sentiments of the state.

The state government has constituted the Subhash Kumar Committee. Along with this, efforts are also being made to finalize the draft for implementation by studying the suggestions of the committee constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Radha Raturi to prepare the draft of the land law.
