Dhami government will form a youth commission, the minister said – work is also being done rapidly towards making a youth policy in accordance with the manifesto

Dehradun: A youth commission will be formed in the state soon and a new youth policy will come into existence. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Rekha Arya said that the state government is working rapidly towards the formation of a youth commission and making a youth policy in accordance with the party’s manifesto. Officials have been asked to prepare a proposal soon.

He also directed to extend the last date for registration of PRD jawans. On Saturday, Sports Minister Rekha Arya conducted a departmental review at the Directorate of Youth Welfare and Provincial Guard Force. He said that the process of registering PRD jawans through the portal is going on.

Government orders issued for most of the announcements made for PRD jawans

In the release issued by the department earlier, the last date given for the jawans to register in the portal and include their documents in the online process was August 20. Now instructions have been given to extend its date. He said that most of the government orders have been issued for the announcements made by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for PRD jawans.

In the meeting, the Sports Minister also directed the department to make a proposal towards making Nav Yuvak Mangal Dal self-reliant and empowered. He said that according to the current circumstances, a proposal should be made for Mahila Mangal Dal and Nav Yuvak Mangal Dal and a meeting should be held on it soon.

The Sports Minister said that the government is dedicated to the all-round development of youth and women. On this occasion, Special Principal Secretary Amit Sinha, Director Sports Jitendra Kumar Sonkar, Additional Director Ajay Agarwal, Joint Director Shakti Singh and officials of the Youth Welfare Department were present.
