Dhami government will start heli ambulance service to send dead bodies from the hospital to the residence, committee formed

Dehradun: The state government is going to expand the scope of heli ambulance service soon. Till now heli ambulances were used only to bring patients from far-flung areas to Rishikesh AIIMS. Now heli ambulance service will also be provided to send dead bodies from the hospitals of the state to the residence.

A three-member committee has been formed by the government to prepare its standard operating procedure (SOP), which will prepare a detailed draft of it and submit it to the government. Now if there is a need for a heli ambulance to send the dead body to the residence in case of death in the hospital, then this facility will be started for within the state and outside states.

A detailed report will be prepared

For this, a committee has been formed by the government under the chairmanship of Dr. Sunita Tamta, Director of Medical Health and Family Welfare Department. Director of Medical Education Dr. Ashutosh Sayana and Joint Director Dr. Ajit Johri have also been included in it.

A detailed report will be prepared by the committee after assessing all its aspects. Its challenges will also be highlighted. After the new system is implemented, heli service will be provided to transport the dead bodies from any hospital in the state to the residence. According to the officials, this is going to happen for the first time in the state.

At present, there is a facility of heli ambulance to bring serious patients to Rishikesh AIIMS. Now the facility of heli ambulance will also be started to send the dead bodies back to the residence. The government will take a decision on this after the committee submits its draft.
