Dehradun: To improve health services in Haridwar district, the government has taken steps with the construction of medical college. In such a situation, the operation of Haridwar Medical College is going to start soon. Actually, the Government of India has allotted 100 MBBS seats for Haridwar Medical College. On which CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister JP Nadda and expressed gratitude.
After the establishment of Government Medical College in Dehradun, Srinagar, Haldwani in Uttarakhand, now the operation of medical college is going to start in Haridwar as well. Despite being a plain district, there was a shortage of doctors in Haridwar district. Due to which the state government started the construction work of medical college in Haridwar. Also, the building of Haridwar Medical College was completed in a very short time. Just last month, the team of National Medical Commission (NMC) had inspected Haridwar Medical College. During this, some deficiencies were pointed out in the NMC team.
According to the Medical Education Secretary, the NMC team had pointed out the deficiencies, which were removed. After which now 100 MBBS seats have been approved in the initial phase for Haridwar Medical College. The construction of this college will benefit the population of lakhs of Haridwar district. Actually, the population of this district has to depend on Rishikesh AIIMS or all the hospitals in Dehradun for health services. But people will benefit from the construction of a medical college.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is continuously working for better improvement in the health services of the state. Along with the hilly districts, we want to make medical services accessible to the public in the plain districts. In this sequence, the construction of Haridwar Medical College has been completed rapidly. Therefore, in future people will get a big benefit from the opening of this hospital. People will get the benefit of better medical services.
