Dehradun: In compliance with the announcement made by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Divyang Pension Scheme has also been simplified like the Old Age Pension Scheme operated under the Social Welfare Department, in the interest of the disabled pension holders in the state, the Chief Minister had announced that like the Old Age Pension Scheme, by simplifying the Divyang Pension Scheme, all such Divyangs will also be eligible for pension whose sons / grandsons are more than 20 years of age, implementation should be ensured.
In compliance with the instructions of the Chief Minister, Secretary Social Welfare Dr. Sridhar Babu Addanki has given instructions in a letter addressed to the Director Social Welfare that under the Divyang Pension Scheme in the state, such beneficiaries, who fulfill the eligibility of the prescribed monthly income limit of Rs 4000 / -, their sons / grandsons will be eligible for pension even after being more than 20 years of age. Apart from this, beneficiaries of BPL category, whose sons/grandsons are 20 years of age or above, will also be eligible for pension. He has also expected this arrangement to be implemented with immediate effect.
