Dhami participated in a public awareness program organized in Kunawala, Dehradun, to promote “Adopt Swadeshi” and the new GST rates.

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Kunawala market in Dehradun on Wednesday as part of a public awareness program to promote “Adopt Swadeshi” and the new GST rates. During the program, the Chief Minister interacted with shopkeepers and local citizens and informed them about the benefits of using indigenous products and the recently implemented new tax rates.

The Chief Minister said that adopting indigenous products is not only an important step towards a self-reliant India but also increases employment opportunities for local artisans, small industries, and youth. He urged people to use more indigenous products in their daily lives and reduce dependence on foreign products.

The Chief Minister said that the purpose of the revised rates is to facilitate the general public and simplify business activities. He stated that a transparent and simple tax system would boost the state’s economy. He added that only through public awareness and active participation will the “Adopt Swadeshi” campaign achieve widespread success and strengthen the state’s economic position. MLA Brijbhushan Gairola was also present on the occasion.
