Rishikesh: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Rishikesh AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) on Friday, June 27 evening, where he inquired about the condition of the people injured in the Rudraprayag bus accident and also met their families. Apart from this, CM Dhami spoke to the doctors of AIIMS and instructed not to leave any stone unturned in the treatment of the injured.
Let us tell you that on Thursday, June 26, a bus of pilgrims of Chardham fell into a ditch in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. At the time of the accident, there were 20 people in the bus, out of which 10 people were scattered out. Two people who were scattered out died, while ten people drowned in the river along with the bus.
The police had found the body of one of the 10 people who fell into the river yesterday. In this way, three people died in this accident. At the same time, 9 people were missing. Out of the missing, the bodies of two were also found today. After this, the death toll increased to five. Seven people are still missing. Rescue operations are going on in the river since yesterday for their search.
The condition of four of the injured was very serious, who were airlifted and sent to Rishikesh AIIMS. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met those people admitted in Rishikesh AIIMS today on Friday. At the same time, yesterday itself Rudraprayag Police had registered a case in this matter and started investigation. Apart from this, Rudraprayag District Magistrate Prateek Jain has also formed a high-level committee to investigate the Rudraprayag bus accident.
Rudraprayag District Magistrate Prateek Jain has also instructed the officials to ensure that such incidents do not happen again. Also asked the officials to expedite the search operations of the missing people in the river.
