Haldwani: Chief Minister said that coming to the youth’s program always fills his mind with enthusiasm and excitement. He said that our youth are showing their talent in every field of education, technology, art, sports. Along with realizing their dreams, the youth power is also contributing to bring positive change in the society. Amrapali University has done many big works in the field of education. Today, youth are achieving success in every field by studying from Amrapali. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the whole world is getting acquainted with the knowledge and power of India. In the last 10 years, India’s identity and power has increased all over the world. He said that Swami Vivekananda has said that man is a storehouse of infinite power and energy. A person only needs to recognize his power energy. He urged the youth to move in the right direction with positive thinking. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is working rapidly in every field for the overall development of the state. Many historical works are being done including the construction of Science Center in Almora, Champawat, Dehradun, Astro Park in Haldwani and Sports University. The state government has brought strict anti-cheating laws for the better and secure future of the youth.

The Chief Minister said that in the last

3 years, the state government has given employment to more than 17 thousand youth in government departments. A law has been brought to stop religious conversion in the state. More than 5000 acres of land has been freed from encroachment. 30 percent horizontal reservation has been given to women of the state in government jobs. Uniform Civil Code will also be implemented in the state soon. GSDP in the state has increased by 1.3 times in the last 20 months. Per capita income in the state has increased by 26 percent in the last 2 years. The unemployment rate in Uttarakhand has decreased by 4.4 percent. Uttarakhand has secured the first position in the country in the list of Sustainable Development Goals released by NITI Aayog. The state is also working on Gross Environment Product.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is doing many works in the field of education. Work is being done on the infrastructure of government colleges and universities. 20 model colleges are being established in the state. IT labs, smart classes and women’s hostels are also being constructed in the state. He said that the state government has signed MoUs with the British High Commission and Infosys Springboard. Under the scholarship, 05 students of the state will be sent to Britain every year for study. The state government has made a provision of 1700 crores on youth welfare, sports, higher and technical education in the general budget.
