Dhami reviewed the announcements and other works in the assembly constituencies falling under Haridwar Lok Sabha constituency

Dehradun: Officers should constantly communicate with the MLAs to solve various public problems of the assembly constituencies. The works of top priorities given by the MLAs should be expedited. If there is any problem in any work, then the secretary and department head should talk to the MLAs of the concerned area and solve the problem. For the successful implementation of the announcements and other important schemes made under all the 70 assemblies of the state, the responsibility should be given to the officers of the Additional Secretary level as nodal officers to work as a bridge between the government-administration and the assembly constituency. Some innovations should be done in every assembly by highlighting its cultural traditions and heritage. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave these instructions to the officials while reviewing the Chief Minister’s announcements and other works of the Legislative Assemblies falling under Haridwar Lok Sabha constituency at the Secretariat on Friday.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed that a detailed plan should be made for a permanent solution to the problem of water logging in Haridwar. Its survey should be completed soon and a proposal should be made. DPR should be prepared in a month for the arrangement of permanent water at Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh. The process of developing Sanjay Lake as a tourist center should be expedited. A well-planned plan should be worked out for the arrangement of alternative routes so that people do not face problems for transportation and other important works during the Kanwar Yatra. The drainage system should be strengthened in urban areas. Special attention should be paid to the construction and beautification of parks.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to expedite the construction work after the monsoon. A campaign should be launched to make the roads pothole-free after the rains. The Chief Minister directed that a nodal officer should be appointed for AIIMS Rishikesh and the satellite center of AIIMS to be built in Kichha. Two villages in each district should be developed as model villages.

During the meeting, the MLAs raised issues of waterlogging, parking and beautification works, drainage and sewerage problems, construction work of drains, traffic management and other problems. The Chief Minister directed the officials to resolve the problems raised by the MLAs immediately.

MLAs Vinod Chamoli, Premchand Aggarwal, Madan Kaushik, Brij Bhushan Gairola, Pradeep Batra, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, L.L. Fanai, Dr. R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretaries, Additional Secretaries, Heads of various departments and the concerned District Magistrate were present through virtual medium.
