Dhami sent an amount of Rs 01 billion 72 crore 44 lakh 04 thousand to the beneficiaries of Nanda Gaura Yojana, CM distributed through DBT

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday distributed an amount of Rs 01 billion 72 crore 44 lakh 04 thousand to 40 thousand 504 beneficiaries of Nanda Gaura Yojana through DBT from the Chief Minister’s Camp Office in the financial year 2024-25. Through this scheme, a total amount of Rs 09 billion 68 crore 64 lakh 51 thousand was provided through DBT to 02 lakh 84 thousand 559 beneficiaries in the last 05 years. Under the Nanda Gaura Yojana, an amount of Rs 11 thousand is being provided on the birth of a girl child in Uttarakhand and Rs 51 thousand on passing 12th. Among the beneficiaries of the financial year 2024-25, an amount of Rs 09 crore 81 lakh 16 thousand was transferred to 08 thousand 616 girls on birth and an amount of Rs 01 billion 62 crore 62 lakh 88 thousand was transferred to 31 thousand 888 girls who passed 12th by the Chief Minister through DBT.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that many efforts are being made by the state government in the direction of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao. A large number of girls from poor families of the state are benefiting from the Nanda Gaura Yojana. Important schemes like Balika Shiksha Protsahan Yojana, Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Kit Yojana are being run in Uttarakhand. On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya, Secretary Chandresh Kumar Yadav, Director Women Empowerment and Child Development Prashant Arya and officials of Women Empowerment and Child Development Department were present.
