Dehradun: The continuous efforts of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami have brought positive results. The Union Ministry of Power has approved a significant amount of ₹ 547.83 crore for the state of Uttarakhand. This amount will be used to develop distribution structure and underground cabling works in Rishikesh and modern SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system in the capital Dehradun. With the completion of these projects, the power supply system of both the cities will not only be more robust, but consumers will also get smooth, safe and quality electricity.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for the said approval. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is continuously getting full support of the Central Government, which is giving new direction and energy to the development pace of the state. The Chief Minister said that these projects will directly benefit lakhs of consumers.
The Chief Minister said that the Central and State Governments are working together to strengthen the infrastructure in the state. In this sequence, on the request of the Chief Minister, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has approved the long-awaited demand of the Kichha area and has taken concrete steps towards the construction of an underpass at the main railway crossing near Maharana Pratap Chowk. In this regard, he has directed the concerned officials to conduct a site inspection and submit a report soon.
