Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the State Disaster Operations Center late night and reviewed the relief and rescue operations of the avalanche incident in Mana. The Chief Minister said that a disaster control room should also be established in Joshimath.
The CM said that the jawans of NDRF, SDRF and ITBP should speed up the work of removing snow with mutual cooperation. Special care should be taken of the workers who have been evacuated. The Chief Minister also directed to make adequate arrangements in all the hospitals from Army Hospital in Joshimath, District Hospital, AIIMS Rishikesh.
On Saturday morning, CM Dhami took stock of the situation by conducting an aerial survey of the avalanche area near Mana in Chamoli. After this, necessary instructions were also given to the officials so that relief and rescue work could be conducted quickly and effectively.
55 workers were buried due to a sudden avalanche in Chamoli district, for whose rescue relief work was started immediately. In this hour of crisis, Chief Minister Dhami made a second visit to the Disaster Operations Center within four hours and took stock of the situation. He took moment-to-moment information about the relief work there and gave necessary instructions to speed up the relief work.
