‘Education Talk’ Program Organized, Chief Secretary Interacts with Students via Video Conferencing

Dehradun: Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan on Monday visited Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalaya in Nanoorkheda and interacted with students from various schools across the state via video conferencing under the ‘Education Talk’ program.

Every child is special; try to identify and nurture your children’s talents.

Addressing all the students during the program, the Chief Secretary said that every child is special. Every child possesses some unique quality. He said that we need to recognize our talents. He also requested all teachers and parents to identify and nurture their children’s talents.

Continuous interaction with industrialists, scientists, professors, etc., should be facilitated.

The Chief Secretary instructed the Education Department to further expand the ‘Education Talk’ program by facilitating interactions with industrialists, scientists, professors, and individuals working in various important fields, providing children with opportunities for guidance. He suggested that the ‘Education Talk’ program should be started in all other schools as well. He said that it should be started with cluster schools and all cluster schools should be connected to it.

We should control mobile phones and technology, not the other way around.

During the discussion with the children, the Chief Secretary gave an important lesson, saying that today is the age of mobile phones and technology, but we should control mobile phones and technology, not the other way around. He said that books, sports, and creative thinking make you strong. We need to pay attention to all of these.

On this occasion, the Chief Secretary also observed and interacted with the children who had prepared science projects from various schools in the state. Appreciating the students’ projects, he also suggested that children from various parts of the state be taken on a tour of Dehradun. He said that they should also be taken to visit the Skill Development Department’s Centre of Excellence. He added that such tours for children should be organized regularly. This would provide them with a lot of practical knowledge and information in addition to their textbook learning.
