Dehradun: Eight proposals came in the meeting of Dhami Cabinet. During this it was said that the seniority on the posts of Assistant Accountant is different in different departments. Now this will be according to the finance department. Apart from this, many other decisions were taken in the cabinet.
Uttarakhand Public and Private Property Ordinance 2024 approved
Before the Lok Sabha elections, the cabinet meeting started in the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday, in which many major decisions were given the green signal. After discussion, the proposal to enact Uttarakhand Public and Private Property Damage Recovery Act was approved.
With the enactment of this Act, provisions for strict action and recovery are being made against rioters and protesters causing damage to government and private property. If damage is caused during riots or agitation, action will be taken against those concerned. The ordinance will be sent to Raj Bhavan for implementation. An amendment proposal to the Tree Protection Act 1976 was brought in the meeting.
The amendment to the Act will exclude many species of trees growing on private land from the Forest Act. Due to which permission will not be required from the Forest Department for cutting trees on private land. Service rules and other proposals related to education, health, urban and housing were discussed in the cabinet.

• The technical department will give 5.335 acres of land to NIT for the construction of the first phase of NIT Sumadi.
• Housing- Uttarakhand Housing Policy Amendment Rules 2024. The price per housing unit is six lakhs. 3.50 lakh beneficiaries bear. They are facing difficulty in contributing. Therefore, instead of changing the state share, the government will give Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 50 thousand as Viability Gap Funding (VGF).
• Till now there was a joint team of revenue, municipal body and authority in the process of allocation, but now only the authority will do the verification. Secondly, Rs 6 lakh was given in 7 stages. Now we will give it in 9 steps. It has increased only in the range of 6 lakhs.
• Secondary education – The ban on recruitment in non-government schools was lifted. The committee that has been formed for recruitment in higher education will also do recruitment in secondary schools. Only the committee will decide how the recruitment will be done.
