Dehradun: An Expenditure Finance Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan. During the meeting, proposals from various departments were approved. The Chief Secretary instructed the departments to set deadlines for each stage, from the approval of proposals to the completion of the work. He directed the departments to regularly monitor their projects at various stages to ensure timely completion. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining high-quality work. He instructed that all work related to the Nanda Rajjat Yatra be completed within the stipulated timeframe. He said that all work should be completed before the commencement of the pilgrimage.
The Chief Secretary approved proposals for the Lohaghat Town Pumping Drinking Water Scheme (total cost ₹8444.67 lakh) of the Drinking Water Department, the multi-story parking facility in Ramnagar, Nainital (total cost ₹3857.64 lakh), and the strengthening and blacktopping of the Nandprayag Ghat-Sutol-Kanol motor road (cost ₹1289.21 lakh) under the Public Works Department, and the construction of a media center, guest house, and community hall in Tanakpur (Champawat) (total cost ₹1424.52 lakh). In addition, the committee meeting also approved the construction of an RTC and 188-bedded barracks for the PAC Battalion Rudrapur (total cost ₹1991.54 lakh) and the Cyber Center of Excellence in Dehradun (total cost ₹3034.78 lakh).
The Chief Secretary also approved proposals under AMRUT 2.0 for drinking water schemes, park development, and reservoir rejuvenation in various local bodies. The Chief Secretary instructed that special attention be given to the rejuvenation of parks and reservoirs. Present on the occasion were Secretaries Shailesh Bagoli, Sridhar Babu Addanki, Vinod Kumar Suman, S.N. Pandey, Yugal Kishore Pant, and Additional Secretaries Vineet Kumar and Mrs. Nivedita Kukreti, Mrs. Vimmi Sachdev, along with other senior officers from the concerned departments.
