Farmers expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for increasing sugarcane prices, showering flowers on Dhami in Haridwar to express their joy over the decision

Haridwar:  Upon Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s arrival in Haridwar, farmers, MLAs, district panchayat members, village heads, block heads, committee officials, members, and officials gave him a grand welcome.

Farmers presented him with sugarcane and honored him with the title of “Farmer’s Son.” The Chief Minister said that since he was given the responsibility of the state, he had decided to keep sugarcane prices higher than Uttar Pradesh.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s helicopter landed at the sports ground of Gurukul Kangri University. Farmers from the district, led by BJP State Vice President and former Cabinet Minister Swami Yatishwaranand, arrived in large numbers to welcome Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami with garlands and sugarcane.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, excited by the welcome, thanked everyone and said that recently, farmers and public representatives from Haridwar met with him and demanded higher sugarcane prices than Uttar Pradesh.

He said, “I was born into a family of soldiers and farmers, and I worked my way up through hard work and sweat among farmers. When I was given the responsibility of the state in 2021, I decided to keep sugarcane prices higher than Uttar Pradesh. In accordance with your demands and sentiments, the sugarcane price has been fixed at ₹405.”
