This visit of the Finance Commission is very special for the state and the government has intensified its preparations for this. The Finance Department has also started gathering departmental information regarding the presentation in this regard.

Uttarakhand’s preparations will decide what will be the form of central assistance in Uttarakhand during the next 5 years. Actually, the team of the 16th Finance Commission is going to come to the state soon. Due to which preparations have also been intensified for the presentation in front of the commission at the government level. Along with all the departments, especially the Finance Department is working on this. So that the financial needs and plans of the state can be placed strongly in front of the Finance Commission.

Along with the Chairman of the 16th Finance Commission, Dr. Arvind Panagariya, 12 potential members will arrive in the state to discuss financial matters. Along with four members of the Commission, the Commission’s Secretary Ritwik Pandey and Joint Secretary KK Mishra can also be included in this. At present, the Uttarakhand government has received information about the arrival of 12 representatives of the Finance Commission in this regard.

The Finance Commission team may come to Uttarakhand on 19 and 20 May

The Finance Commission in Uttarakhand will take information about the financial needs from the state and during this time the Finance Department will also refer to all the schemes of the state in front of the Finance Commission.
