Five IPS officers appointed as ADG in CRPF, BSF, CISF, SSB & BPR&D

New Delhi (03.04.2024):  In an important development when 2024 Lok Sabha elections are underway, a total five senior IPS officers have been promoted from Inspector General rank to Additional Director General in various central paramilitary forces including BSF, CRPF, CISF SSB and BPR&D. The name of these officers are as follows:

Satish Shriramaji Khandare (IPS: 1995: AGMUT), Inspector General, BSF has been appointed as Additional Director General, BSF up to 11.07.2028 for a combined tenure of five years.

Padmakar S Ranipse (IPS: 1995: OD), Inspector General, CRPF was appointed as Additional Director General, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) from the date of assumption of charge. He counts his deputation tenure w.e.f. 17.08.2020.

Rajesh Kumar (IPS: 1995: AGMUT), Inspector General, CRPF was appointed as Additional Director General, CRPF up to 18.03.2025 for a total tenure of seven years.

Ravi Joseph Lokku (IPS: 1995: UP), Inspector General, BPR&D was appointed as Additional Director General, BPR&D up to 31.08.2026 i.e. date of his superannuation

Tsewang Namgiyal Kalon (IPS: 1995: UP), Inspector General, SSB, was appointed as Additional Director General, Border Security Force (BSF) up to 15.08.2027 for a combined tenure of five years. He counts his deputation tenure w.e.f. 16.08.2022
