Uttarkashi: The death of former MLA Rajesh Juwantha of the Purola assembly constituency has sent a wave of grief throughout the region. Upon receiving the news of his demise, sorrow spread among political, social, and business organizations. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his condolences on the passing of former MLA Rajesh Juwantha from the Purola assembly constituency. He prayed to God for peace for the departed soul and for strength for the bereaved family members and supporters to bear this loss.
Rajesh Juwantha was a man of honest and simple character: Rajesh Juwantha served the region as an MLA from the Purola assembly constituency from 2007 to 2012. During his tenure, he was known for his honest, simple, and friendly personality. His easy accessibility and amiable behavior with the common people were especially appreciated by the residents of the area. He was the son of the late Barfiya Lal Juwantha, who served as the Minister of Hill Development in the Mulayam Singh Yadav government of Uttar Pradesh.

Former MLA Rajesh Juwantha belonged to a political family: Barfiya Lal Juwantha did many important works for the development of the hilly areas and made a distinct identity for himself as a hardworking and public-spirited leader. Rajesh Juwantha’s mother, Shanti Juwantha, has served as the municipal chairperson of Vikasnagar Municipality twice. Rajesh Juwantha is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter. His sudden demise has deeply shocked his family and the people of the region. The Purola Vyapar Mandal (Traders’ Association) and many other social and political organizations expressed their deep sorrow over his death.
Condolence meetings held: On this occasion, condolence meetings were organized at various places to pray for peace for the departed soul and to express condolences to the bereaved family. Regional MLA Durgeshwar Lal, Municipal Chairman Bihari Lal Shah, Trade Association President Ankit Panwar, Pyarelal Himani, Rajpal Panwar, Baldev Rawat, Ramchandra Panwar, Upendra Aswal, Kavindra Aswal, Govind Ram, Manmohan Chauhan, and others expressed their condolences, stating that the death of Rajesh Juwantha is an irreparable loss for the region, which cannot be compensated for in the near future.
