Lucknow: Former UP DGP Vijay Kumar (Retd IPS: 1988: UP) along with his wife Anupama joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today. He retired from service on January 31, 2024. Upon joining the party, Kumar informed reporters that the law and order situation under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath has significantly improved compared to the past, leading to development. Vijay Kumar is a resident of Satoh village in Jalaun district in the Bundelkhand region of the state.
