Rudrapur: A Freedom Fighters’ Building will be built in the villages of every freedom fighter in the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made this announcement on Thursday at a program organized to mark the 47th death anniversary of Rudrapur Pandit Ram Sumer Shukla. He paid tribute to Ram Sumer by garlanding his statue and honored people who have achieved outstanding work in various fields.
At the program held at the Government Medical College campus in Rudrapur, the Chief Minister said, “Today we have all gathered in memory of a person who dedicated his entire life to national service, public service, and the upliftment of society.” Intermediate classes will be started at Pandit Ram Sumer Shukla Government Girls Inter College from the next session. The Kichha Community Health Center will be upgraded to a sub-district hospital. Additionally, the road from the Lalpur-Nagla motorway to Ambedkar Colony will be asphalted.
Chief Minister Dhami said that in 2003, during the ND Tiwari government in the state, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee provided a special package of ₹300 crore to the Pantnagar SIDCUL. The second major industrial revolution occurred in 2023 when agreements were signed for investments worth ₹356,000 crore. Projects worth over ₹1 lakh crore were implemented. Uttarakhand ranked first on the NITI Aayog index. The new mining policy increased revenue by over ₹1,200 crore in a single year. The Government of India has twice provided Uttarakhand with incentives of ₹100 crore each for its excellent performance in the mining sector.

CM Dhami said that the Jamrani Dam project is years old. The construction of the Jamrani Dam will quench the thirst of the people of the Terai region. The continuously declining water level here is a matter of concern. The government is striving to complete the project as soon as possible. Every obstacle is being removed. The target is to complete it by 2028. The benefits of this dam will extend up to Rampur in Uttar Pradesh.
