Good news for the youth of Uttarakhand: The Dhami government will provide free training for Agniveer recruitment in every district

Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government, through the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, will provide free training for Agniveer recruitment in all districts, for which a Special Operations (SOP) has been issued. On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Sports and Youth Welfare Department will provide free pre-recruitment training to young men and women wishing to serve the country as Agniveers in the Army. Pre-recruitment training for Agniveers will soon begin in all districts of the state.

Training to be provided soon in 13 districts: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recently directed the Sports and Youth Welfare Department to provide training for Agniveer recruitment to the youth of the state so that they can pursue a career in the army, in keeping with Uttarakhand’s great military tradition. In this regard, the department has completed preparations to provide free pre-recruitment training to youth. Pre-recruitment training for Agniveers will soon begin in 13 districts.

  • Young men and women interested in Agniveer pre-recruitment training must be native/permanent residents of Uttarakhand or studying/serving at an institution in Uttarakhand.
  • Passing the high school examination with 45% or more marks and achieving 33% or more in each subject is mandatory for training.
  • Being over 16 years of age is mandatory.
  • Registration with the District Sports Office/District Youth Welfare Officer is mandatory.
  • Students must submit a health certificate issued by a doctor.
  • Students must be in their sports kit (uniform: T-shirt, shorts, sports shoes, socks) during training.
  • Students must not have any tattoos or any unnatural permanent marks on their bodies.
  • Interested students must receive training from a departmental instructor appointed at the sports stadium/playground.

Uttarakhand’s glorious military tradition: On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami stated that Uttarakhand has a glorious military tradition, with at least one member from every family serving in the military. Therefore, the government is providing pre-recruitment training for Agniveers so that young Agniveers can serve the army. The state government has also decided to provide reservations to Agniveers in state government jobs after their service.
