Government buildings will be built as green buildings in Uttarakhand, Chief Secretary directed the officials

Dehradun: Instructions have been issued to construct government buildings in Uttarakhand as green buildings. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has issued guidelines to the officials while discussing various topics during the meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee. Under this, guest houses have also been asked to be made available to tourists on payment basis.

Now during the construction of government buildings in Uttarakhand, the implementing agencies will have to make arrangements for solar panels, rain water harvesting and water recycling. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi discussed various topics during the meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee. During this, while talking about the construction of government buildings, the Chief Secretary has instructed the government implementing construction agencies to prepare the government buildings to be constructed at present or in future as green buildings.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi took information from the officials on the proper use of the guest houses of the state, and also gave directions that in addition to the VIP guests, in case the guest house is vacant, facilities should also be provided to tourists on payment basis. Instructions have been given to provide the option of foreign languages ​​to the students taking training in nursing colleges in the state and to make arrangements for learning foreign languages. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has issued orders in this regard to the Health Secretary during the meeting itself.

On the other hand, approval was given to the construction of Adarsh ​​​​Residential School Makhanpur Haridwar in English medium at the secondary level for the students of Scheduled Castes in the state. Apart from this, approval has also been given for the construction of a new state guest house in Pithoragarh, a new state guest house in Tanakpur, Champawat, construction of Tanakpur bus terminal, construction of 32 accommodation buildings for employees in Mohkampur Dehradun and construction of a new nursing college in the state’s medical college Haldwani.
