Governor Releases Book on Chief Minister Dhami’s Personality and Works

Dehradun: Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (retd) released the book “Pushkar Dhami: The Living Warmth of the Himalayas,” compiled by young author Sambhavna Pant, focusing on the personality and works of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, at Raj Bhavan on Thursday.

Kalki Peethadhishwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam Maharaj (Sambhal), Swami Chidanand Saraswati Maharaj of Parmarth Niketan Rishikesh, and Bhagat Singh Koshyari, former Governor of Maharashtra and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, were present as special guests. The books are published by Prabhat Publications and Rupa Publications.

The Governor congratulated the author, Sambhavna Pant, saying that daughters are the embodiment of God. Praising her writing skills, he said that she has lived up to her name, Sambhavna.

He noted how the author has done a commendable job in these books, depicting a childhood grappling with the struggles of the mountains, a youth imbibing the ideals of his grandfather Khem Singh, and how Pushkar was shaped by his mother’s humble and modest teachings, and his father’s soldierly perseverance, dedication, and discipline.

The Governor noted that significant, historic achievements have been made under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Today, Uttarakhand stands at the forefront in every field, and new development milestones are being set in the state in line with Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047.

Through his actions, the Chief Minister has demonstrated his leadership as a frontline leader. In every major disaster in the state, whether it be Silkarya, Joshimath, or Dharali to Tharali, he has been the first to reach out to the affected people and provide solace to their suffering.

He has taken several historic and decisive decisions to improve the law and order situation in the state. Under her leadership, the state has successfully hosted numerous major national and international events. She possesses discipline, humility, and compassion. This book, written by the author, honors these accomplishments.

During this session, the Chief Minister briefly shared her childhood experiences of the trails and ravines. She emotionally recalled her mother’s struggles and how she lived life in the mountains as a soldier’s wife.

She said, “I never imagined I would achieve great things, but I certainly had a strong desire to do something good for society.” She thanked all the dignitaries who attended the book launch, the publishers, and the book’s author, Sambhavna Pant.

During this, Swami Chidanand Saraswati Maharaj of Parmarth Niketan Rishikesh said that similar work is being done in the country and the state under the leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister to nurture and promote India’s unity and integrity, its ancient cultural glory and traditions, and to ensure the all-round development of youth, women, and communities excluded from mainstream society.

During his address, Kalki Peethadhishwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam praised Chief Minister Dhami’s dedication to duty and said that the Chief Minister makes decisions and acts in accordance with the realities of society, the nation, and the country and time. He congratulated author Sambhavna Pant for her work.

The author of the book, Sambhavna Pant, summarized the book’s essence, saying that the book reflects the Chief Minister’s personal qualities, conduct, and visionary thinking. This book also narrates the struggles of the Chief Minister’s grandfather, father and mother, in whose company Pushkar Singh Dhami grew up.

The book also tells the story of the Chief Minister’s rise from his youth to the top position of the Chief Servant of the State, and also includes his leadership, determination, humility and hard work. While dedicating the book, he thanked all the guests, dignitaries and the public present.

Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Rajya Sabha members Naresh Bansal and Kalpana Saini, MLAs Savita Kapoor and Brijbhushan Gairola, Padmashree Basanti Bisht, Head of Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple Kishan Giri Maharaj, along with a large number of senior public representatives, officials and the public were present in the program.
