GST Appellate Tribunal: Justice Mishra appointed as President

New Delhi: Based on the recommendation of Search-cum-Selection-Committee (SCSC) the NaMo administration appointed Justice (Retd) Sanjaya Kumar Mishra to the post of President, Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT). Justice Mishra is the former Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court.

He will head the Tribunal for a period of four years or till the age of 70 years whichever earlier.

The Centre had invited applications for 63 posts of Judicial Member and 32 posts of Technical Member.

Reportedly, GSTAT functional from 01.07.2024 with one Principal Bench located in Delhi in addition to 31 State benches located at various locations across States.
