Haridwar: After the stampede incident in Mansa Devi temple, both Haridwar district administration and police administration are engaged in investigation. In this episode, today Haridwar SSP and District Magistrate inspected the Mansa Devi temple route. After this, both the officers also took stock of the arrangements in Chandi Devi temple. Haridwar District Magistrate Mayur Dixit said that tomorrow a meeting has been scheduled with the officials of both Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi temples. In which officials of all departments will also be present. Also, some arrangements will be made temporarily in Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi as of now. After this, it will be considered to make them permanent.
While talking, DM Mayur Dixit said that at present temporary dispensaries will be started in both Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi temples. Also, the staircase route will be closed for devotees for the time being. Apart from this, arrangements will be made for the passengers to sit on the footpath. Railing etc. will also be discussed with the officials of the temple complex. There is also a plan to shift the shoe place from there. Speaking on the Mansa Devi temple stampede, the DM said that at present its investigation is in the initial stage. He said that for this all the videos and CCTV footage installed nearby are being seen. People are also being questioned. After this, a report will be prepared on the basis of whatever facts come to light. Let us tell you that there was a stampede on the way to Mansa Devi temple on Sunday. According to the statements of the administration, the cause of the stampede was said to be a rumor of electric current spreading on the road. 8 people died and 30 people were injured in this stampede. Children also came under the grip of the accident. The situation was such that thousands of people standing on the road fell on each other to save themselves. CM Dhami has ordered a magisterial inquiry to investigate this accident. President Draupadi Murmu and PM Narendra Modi also expressed grief over the accident.
