Dehradun: Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Harish Rawat said, give Congress a chance in 2027, we will make Gairsain the capital. Gairsain, where 20 people could not stay at night, has developed a capacity to accommodate 2500 people during the Congress government.
Harish Rawat wrote in a social media post, those who are saying that Harish Rawat had a chance, he would have made Gairsain the capital. I want to tell those people that give Congress a chance in the 2027 assembly elections, we will make Gairsain the capital.
During my tenure, I worked to revive the state from the Kedarnath disaster in 2013. Apart from this, I promoted the infrastructure of Gairsain. Approved a budget of 57 crores and also decided the agency. We also laid the foundation stone of the Vidhan Sabha building in Bhararisain. Construction work of a building with a capacity of five thousand residents was started.

Harish Rawat taunted that there was always a delay in fixing the price of sugarcane, but now the price is not being declared at all. New sugarcane is also getting ready in the farmers’ fields. Sugarcane harvesting will begin after the rains.
The state government has not yet declared the price of the previous sugarcane. This is happening for the first time. Sugar mills are being asked to pay at the old rate. The farmers of the state are demanding the price of sugarcane to be Rs 450 per quintal.
