Haryana Govt Transfers 13 IPS; Top Cop Alok Kumar Roy Appointed DGP, Litigation 

chandigarh: On March 1st, the government of Haryana effected a major bureaucratic shake-up by transferring as many as 13 IPS and 5 HPS (Haryana Police Service) officers, including many senior cops of Haryana.

According to the circular, Mr. Alok Kumar Roy (1991 batch IPS officer) was mandated to assume office as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Haryana and Litigation, while Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jain (also 1991 batch IPS) was appointed the DGP, Haryana Human Rights Commission.

Ms. Mamta Singh (1996 batch IPS) was promoted to the post of the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), State Crime Branch, while the incumbent ADGP, Mr. Amitabh Singh Dhillon (1997 batch IPS officer), was moved to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), substituting Mr. Shatrujeet Kapur (1990 batch IPS). Mr. Dhillon has also been given the additional charge as the ADGP, Modernisation and Welfare.

Mr. Sanjay Kumar (1997 batch IPS officer) was appointed the ADGP, Law and Order, with additional charge as the ADGP, Administration.
