Dehradun: Special care will be taken of the health of pilgrims coming for Char Dham Yatra. For this, the Health Department has started preparations by preparing a roadmap of medical facilities on the travel routes apart from Char Dham. For the first time, a 17-bed hospital will be operated in Kedar Dham. In which pilgrims will get modern medical facilities. Mandatory health check-up of pilgrims above 50 years of age will be done at the screening point.
On Wednesday, Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar held a meeting with Chief Medical Officers for the preparations of Char Dham Yatra in the Secretariat. He said that modern and accessible health infrastructure is being prepared for the safe journey of the devotees. The construction work of 17-bed hospital in Kedarnath Dham is in the final stage. The implementing agency has assured to fully operate the two-storey building before the start of the Yatra. Services of X-ray, blood test, ECG, multi-parameter and ortho specialist will be available in the hospital. Most of the medical equipment has been delivered.
Multilingual health advisory and hoardings for pilgrims
A multilingual health advisory has been prepared to provide easy and clear health information to pilgrims. It is available in 13 languages. This advisory will be provided to pilgrims through UR code in hotels, restaurants, parking places on the Yatra route. Along with this, health awareness will also be spread through large hoardings at traffic jam prone areas and halting places.
