Participating as a special invitee from the North Eastern States, Mr. Sharma highlighted Mizoram’s strategic initiatives in enhancing cyber resilience.

He outlined key measures like establishing a 24×7 Cyber Crime Cell under the Police Department and a Cyber Forensic Lab in Aizawl. Regular awareness campaigns by the ICT, Police, and Education Departments are fostering digital literacy among citizens.

Mr. Sharma discussed Mizoram’s advanced technical steps, such as appointing a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for real-time cyber monitoring and deploying a Honeypot system with CDAC to combat cyber threats. Inviting collaboration, Mr. Sharma urged leaders like CERT-IN Director General Dr. Sanjay Bahl and DSCI CEO Vinayak Godse to visit Mizoram and share global insights. Both expressed willingness to assist Mizoram in tackling issues like phishing, financial fraud, and digital threats, prioritizing cybersecurity in the North East.
