IAS officer Brajesh Mehrotra became the new Chief Secretary of Bihar, Chaitanya Prasad got this responsibility.

Patna: On behalf of the Bihar government, 1989 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Brajesh Mehrotra has been made the Chief Secretary of the state. At present he is the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department. Bihar Government Chief Secretary Aamir Subhani has taken VRS. He was going to retire in April. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given his approval to his application.

Along with this, 1990 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Chaitanya Prasad has been made Development Commissioner. Presently he is posted as Additional Chief Secretary of Water Resources Department.

Notification will be effective from March 4

The notification issued by Bihar government will be effective from March 4. IAS officer Chaitanya Prasad will also hold the additional charge of Chairman-cum-Member, Revenue Councilor and Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources Department, Bihar, Patna till further orders.

Brajesh Mehrotra is the new Chief Secretary of Bihar, a 1989 batch IAS officer. He was also holding the responsibility of ACS of Revenue and Land Reforms Department and Additional Chief Secretary as well as Chief Investigation Commissioner, General Administration Department. Let us tell you that Brajesh Mehrotra’s retirement is also in this year, he will retire in the month of August.

There was a major administrative reshuffle in the month of January

Let us tell you that before this, a major administrative reshuffle was made in Bihar on 23 January. 18 IAS officers were transferred. Along with this, three IAS officers were relieved of additional charge. Along with this, many officers were also promoted. Satyendra Kumar Singh, Joint Secretary, Information Public Relations Department, was made the Municipal Commissioner of Begusarai. Suresh Chaudhary was given the responsibility of Secretary of Panchayati Raj Department. Kishori Chaudhary got the responsibility of Joint Secretary of Revenue and Land Reforms Department.
