Starting from Ahimsa Circle, the main square of Barmer city, Dabi led the initiative to clean the streets leading to the Government Hospital. She engaged directly with local shopkeepers and roadside vendors, urging them to maintain cleanliness outside their establishments. During her rounds, she issued stern warnings about the consequences of neglecting cleanliness, including fines and the potential confiscation of temporary carts.
“I will close your shop if this continues. This is not a place to throw waste,” she asserted to one shop owner, emphasizing her commitment to enforcing cleanliness standards in the district.

Under the Navo Barmer campaign, Dabi aims to transform the city into a garbage-free environment by October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti. The initiative not only seeks to clean the streets but also aims to foster a sense of responsibility among citizens regarding cleanliness.
“Unless cleanliness becomes a habit for the citizens, no change is possible,” Dabi stated, reinforcing her belief in community participation as essential to the campaign’s success.
As the drive gains momentum, locals are encouraged to join in and contribute to making Barmer a cleaner, healthier place for all.
