Dr. V Candavelou (IAS) has today been appointed the new Chief Secretary of Goa replacing Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel (IAS), who was recently transferred to serve as a Secretary in the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
Officer V. Kandvelu, a 1997-batch IAS officer has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Goa, after Officer Punit Kumar Goel, a 1991-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer was transferred to the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes.
Officers working at the Centre or with the Delhi government will soon be appointed to certain special posts, including the posts of chief secretaries of Mizoram and Andaman. The Union has appointed 29 joint secretaries in various government departments, mainly the Indian Defence Accounts Service, the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers and the Indian Revenue Service.
