IFS Ajeeta Longjam Appointed Associate Professor At Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun

Ms. Ajeeta Longjam, a 2012-batch Manipur cadre IFS officer, has been appointed as Associate Professor at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), Dehradun, under the Central Staffing Scheme of the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, effective from October 10, 2024, for a term extending until August 10, 2027.

Ms. Longjam completed her schooling at Little Flower School, Imphal, and KV No.2 Langjing, Imphal. She earned her graduation in Zoology (Honours) from Miranda House, Delhi University, and was featured in the Miranda House Annual Roll of Honour (2007-08). She then completed her Master’s in Zoology from Delhi University and went on to qualify for the CSIR-UGC NET with JRF twice.

She is a gold medalist from the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun, and was honoured with the ‘Spirit of 1982’ award for exhibiting the Best Communication Skills from the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun.
