The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced that Dr. Devyani Uttam Khobragade, an Indian Foreign Service Officer (IFS) officer of 1999 batch, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Tunisia. Currently serving as the Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Cambodia since October 2020, Dr. Khobragade is expected to take up her new assignment in Tunisia shortly.
In an official statement, the MEA highlighted her significant contributions during her tenure in Cambodia, as well as her extensive diplomatic experience.
Dr. Khobragade’s new posting underscores India’s growing diplomatic engagement with Tunisia and its commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with the North African country.
