Dehradun: With the oath of dedicating body, mind and life to the country, 419 Gentleman Cadets became part of the Indian Army from the Indian Military Academy (IMA) on Saturday. Along with this, 32 cadets from nine friendly countries also passed out.
Sri Lankan Army Chief Lieutenant General BKGM Lasantha Rodrigo participated as the reviewing officer in the grand passing out parade and took the salute of the parade.
The parade started with the markers call at 6.38 am on Saturday.
After this, the company sergeant majors took their respective places on the drill square. At 6.42 am, with the advance call, the cadets marched to the parade ground.
The Sri Lankan Army Chief encouraged the cadets by inspecting the parade. During this, the cadets who performed excellently were also honored.
