India-Pakistan tension! Doctors and health workers’ leaves cancelled, instructions issued regarding supply of ration and water

Dehradun: There is an alert across the country amid India-Pakistan tension. While the Uttarakhand government has cancelled the leaves of officers and employees, it has also instructed the officers to remain posted 24 hours a day in the disaster control room. Apart from this, today on Friday, May 9, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a high level meeting at the Uttarakhand Secretariat, Dehradun and gave instructions to organize all the arrangements. The leaves of doctors and health workers have also been cancelled.

CM Dhami has instructed all the officers in the meeting to be fully prepared for every situation and to exercise special vigilance in the border areas. Along with this, the administrative units posted in the border areas have been asked to remain alert.

CM Dhami has also instructed the officials to arrange for adequate quantity of life saving medicines, surgical equipment and other necessary medical resources in all the hospitals of the state. Apart from this, CM Dhami has directed the Food and Civil Supplies Department to ensure the supply of essential food items, ration and drinking water in the state.

He said that relief and rescue teams have also been kept ready, so that action can be taken with immediate effect if needed. The CM has directed the Information Department to play an active role to avoid rumors and give timely information to the public.

He said that the safety of the God-like public is paramount for the state government and the government is ready to deal with any kind of emergency. However, the Health Department has also issued a guideline for the hospitals of the state, under which loudspeakers should be arranged in every building. Correct the arrangements related to fire extinguishing. Coordinate with the police administration and civil defense. Doctors and employees should be trained.

Along with this, the leaves of doctors and health workers in hospitals have been banned. Apart from this, it has also been mentioned in the guideline that there should be adequate stock of medicines in the hospitals as well as arrangements for oxygen beds, ICU ventilators, medical equipment and ambulances.

Emphasis on reverse migration success story

An appropriate platform will be provided to share the experiences of people who have done reverse migration in Uttarakhand. So that other people of the state are also inspired by their successes and move forward towards self-employment. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a review meeting of the Migration Prevention Commission at the Secretariat on Friday. During the meeting, the CM said that the suggestions of such people will be included in all the schemes. So that the schemes can become more effective. The active participation of women in the state will give Uttarakhand a place among the best states of the country in the coming times. CM Dhami directed Secretary Rural Development Radhika Jha to develop a platform to share the success stories of people who have done reverse migration as well as include them in plan formulation.
