Information Department’s tableau got first place in the program organized on 76th Republic Day, CM Dhami and Governor presented award to Director General of Information Department

Dehradun: Republic Day celebrations were organized at Parade Ground in Dehradun. Governor Lt. General Gurmeet Singh took the salute of the parade in the program. CM Dhami was also present. During this, tableaux of many departments were also taken out. Students also presented cultural programs. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd.) said that today our identity is not limited to economic or military strength only. Our achievements are now unique in science, technology, sports and culture as well.

The Governor remembered and paid tribute to the freedom fighters, brave martyrs who sacrificed their all to protect the unity and integrity of the country. He also saluted the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and the makers of the Constitution. The Governor said that we have set a target to make India a developed nation by 2047, the centenary year of the country’s independence. We are moving rapidly in this direction. Today’s new India has emerged as a strong nation on the global stage, making progress in every field. He said that becoming one of the largest economies in the world is an indicator of India’s rapid progress. In recent years, we have taken production and exports to new heights through campaigns like Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.

At the same time, the tableau of the Department of Information based on the 38th National Games got the first place in the state level main program organized at the Parade Ground on the occasion of 76th Republic Day. In this tableau, various competitions of the 38th National Games to be held in Uttarakhand and the traditional sport of Uttarakhand, Mallakhamb, were showcased. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented the award to Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari for the tableau of the Information Department getting the first place.
