IPS officer Jal Singh Meena (IPS: 2010: TR), currently serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has been appointed as DIG in the Border Security Force (BSF) on a lateral shift basis.
As per an official order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday (27.03.2025), the competent authority has approved Mr. Meena’s appointment for a period of up to 18.07.2026, which marks a combined tenure of 5 years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
