The centre, via a circular issued from the Ministry of Home Affairs, has recently mandated IPS Kim to take charge as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) for a five-year term.
The competent authority has approved the appointment of Ms. Kim, a 2008-batch Bihar cadre IPS officer, to the post on a deputation basis for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. IPS Kim earlier served as the DIG of the Patna branch of CID.
