IPS officers in CBI get approval for extended deputation stints

New Delhi: The competent authority on Friday (08.03.2024) granted approval to extend the deputation tenure of two IPS officers within the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The details are as follows:

  1. P Murugan (IPS:2010:JH), currently serving as DIG, CBI, will continue to serve for a period up to 15.03.2027, totaling 7 years, or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
  2. Dr. Vidyut Vikash (IRS-IT:2008), presently holding the position of SP, CBI, has been approved to serve for an additional one year beyond the 7th year, until 18.02.2025, totaling 8 years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
