Amidst a recent development, Mr. Inder Pal Singh Bindra (IRS officer) was mandated to assume office as Secretary of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for a period of three years from the date of assuming charge, replacing IRS Anupama Anand, who resigned within eight months of joining the regulator. The CCI keeps a tab on unfair business practices in the marketplace and also works on promoting fair competition.
