In a significant appointment, Parminder, an IRS officer from the 1988 batch, has assumed office as the new Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (PCCIT) for the Nagpur region.

With a distinguished career marked by pivotal roles across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Delhi, and Mumbai, Parminder previously served as the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax-5 in Mumbai.

She has introduced dedicated appointment slots from 3 pm to 4 pm on all working days, aimed at facilitating interactions with taxpayers and their representatives in Nagpur.

Her appointment is expected to strengthen the Income Tax department’s efforts in ensuring compliance and fostering a conducive tax environment.
