Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a review meeting on Saturday regarding the disaster affected areas. He took information about relief and rescue operations from all the District Magistrates and officials. The CM said that there is a need to be alert about the weather for the next few days. All the mechanisms related to disaster management should be kept ready at all times. There should be full arrangements for the safety of life in sensitive areas.

The CM said that the districts will get full support for relief and rescue. He also asked to pay special attention to the restoration of roads and other necessary facilities. Gave instructions to remove the debris in Syanachatti area of ​​​​Uttarkashi and dump it at safe places. So that there is no obstruction in the river when it rains again. Said that the number of Chardham pilgrims will increase when the rains subside. Also, the festive season is also coming.

In such a situation, the repair of roads and other arrangements should be done on time. He directed the Public Works Department to complete the formalities like tender soon. The CM also gave necessary instructions to open the blocked roads, restore electricity and water and treat injured animals. The Animal Husbandry Department has been asked to send a team of doctors to all the villages.

He said that the safety of the people living on the banks of rivers and drains should be ensured. People should be immediately taken to safe places when the water level rises. Regarding the dams, he instructed the Irrigation Department to remain vigilant at all times and inform the district administration about the release of water on time when needed. So that the safety of life and property can be ensured in time.
