Dehradun: ITBP Inspector General Sanjay Gunjyal met Chief Secretary Radha Raturi at the Secretariat on Friday. IG Sanjay Gunjyal apprised CS Radha Raturi of various problems of border outposts. He requested the District Magistrates of border districts Pithoragarh, Uttarkashi and Chamoli to provide No Objection Certificates soon so that the cases of forest land transfer can be resolved quickly. The Chief Secretary assured the ITBP of all possible cooperation from the state government. On the request of Radha Raturi, an agreement was reached on providing health care facilities to the local citizens living in the border villages by the doctors of ITBP.
In the meeting, providing health facilities to pregnant women and newborns and connecting remote areas to health care through telemedicine were discussed. IG Sanjay Gunjyal informed that the ITBP is also trying to procure from local farmers.
