J&K Government Relieves Three IPS Officers for New Assignments; Check Names Here

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has relieved three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to enable them to assume their new assignments. As per the official order issued on Thursday, the officers are being relieved with immediate effect following a directive from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The officers include 2004 batch officer Mahender Nath Tiwari, currently serving as Inspector General of Police (IGP) Armed, Jammu; 2010 batch officer Altaf Ahmed Khan, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) IR, Kashmir; and 2020 batch officer Shivam Siddharth, Superintendent of Police (SP) North, Jammu. The officers, belonging to the AGMUT cadre, have been relieved from their duties in the union territory effective October 10, 2024, to take up their new roles in line with the Ministry of Home Affairs’ orders.
