Jammu & Kashmir: 27 Officers Promoted to Time Scale of JKAS; Safiya Abdullah Among Them

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has promoted 27 officers from various departmental feeding services to the Time Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) under Level 11 (₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700). In addition, one JKAS officer, Safiya Abdullah of the 2012-II batch, has also been elevated to the same grade.

The promotions were formalized through an official order issued by M. Raju, Commissioner/Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), on Thursday. The promotions are effective notionally from January 1, 2025, and prospectively from the date of issuance of the order, on a regular basis.

The government also promoted Safiya Abdullah, a Junior Scale JKAS officer from the 2012-II batch, to the Time Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service.

As per the GAD order, the officers shall continue at their current place of posting until further instructions. The following officers have also been designated as Deputy Secretaries in their respective departments:
