Ranchi: In a recent development, the government of Jharkhand announced a massive reshuffle in the state police administration by moving as many as 24 IPS officers, including senior officers. Many believe that the reshuffle was orchestrated to realign the key positions within the state’s law enforcement agencies.
The transferred officers are:
IPS Manoj Ratan Chothe (2010 batch) was appointed as the new DIG of Kolhan, replacing Officer Ajay Linda (2008 batch IPS), while Officer Praveen Pushkar (2020 batch IPS) was mandated to assume office as the SP of Railway, Jamshedpur, replacing Mr. Rishabh Jha (2015 batch IPS).
IPS Manish Toppo was appointed the new SP of Seraikela Kharsawan, substituting Dr. Vimal Kumar, who has been relocated as SP of Ramgarh.
SP of Latehar, Mr. Anjani Anjan (2017 batch IPS), has been replaced by the SP of Ranchi (Rural), Mr. Narendra Singh (2006 batch IPS). In addition to these, the DIG in Hazaribagh was mandated to assume offices as the DIG of Palamau.
