New Delhi : Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Limited is a state owned power producer. On Friday it informed about the joint venture of SJVN Green Energy with Assam Power Distribution Company. The aim of this venture is to generate electricity from renewable sources.
The joint venture company, SGEL Assam Renewable Energy, shall carry out business in the field of power generation from all renewable energy sources. This renewable energy sources will also include the hydro power by setting up power plants.
SJVN share in the joint venture company SGEL Assam Renewable Energy will be 51%. The capital authorized by SGEL Assam Renewable Energy is of Rs 1,000 crore.
